Operating Room Circulator-PRN RN
The Registered Nurse, operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.
Ideal candidates will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, and work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.
Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
“Summit” is an accredited ambulatory surgery center in Santa Clarita performing multi-specialty procedures with a heavy emphasis on orthopedics and urology. We are currently seeking experienced circulating nurses for the OR. Per diem and part-time positions are available for the right candidate.

Additionally, candidates will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, and work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Willingness to be involved in various ancillary functions throughout the facility on an as-needed basis is required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a surgical setting.
- Knowledge of the actions, potency, side effects, dosages, and contraindications of drugs used for IV moderate sedation.
- Ability to provide patient care in surgical settings and emergency situations.
- Ability to work in a creative, organized, self-directed, and goal-setting manner.
- Ability to correlate clinical data with the patient’s medical condition.
- Ability to set priorities.
- Ability to provide clear, concise direction to others that promotes efficiency.
- Ability to work respectfully as part of a team.
- Ability to accurately comprehend and interpret verbal orders/directions.
- Skill in interacting with others in a positive and considerate manner.
- Skill in the safe operation of equipment and machinery.
Proficient in the use of technology including computer and standard office equipment.
Hourly Range: $60 to $64 per hour.
Wages are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications and experience.
Required Skills:
- Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state of CA.
- 1+ years of experience working as a Circulator required.
- Current American Heart BLS certification.
