Overview
The Ultrasound Technologist performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, gynecologic scans, and other anatomic areas as required. He/she provides appropriate age-specific patient care to the following patient populations: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Meets the requirements for registry by the ARDMS
- Experience:
- One year minimum experience in ultrasound preferred
- One year experience as a radiologic technologist preferred
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current ARRT registry preferred
- Current ARDMS registry required
- Current ARDMS RVT preferred or obtained within 12 months of employment
- Current BCLS certification
