Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm, Some weekends and on-call required.
Northfield Township is now hiring for Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Laboratory Specialist in Whitmore Lake, MI. This position performs chemical analysis on sewer system waste as required by the MDEQ and in accordance with our National Pollution Elimination Discharge Permit (NPDES).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing all sewer system laboratory tests
- Maintaining lab equipment and inventory
- Cleaning, televising, and root treating of sewage collection system
- Assisting with day-to-day duties at the WWTP such as grounds maintenance and building/equipment repairs as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED and driver’s license required. Must have or be willing to obtain state certification, and live within 45 minutes of the WWTP. Will Train.
