The Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is a trauma-informed care agency focused on implementing our core values and providing support to people with developmental disabilities. We oversee a statewide system of supportive services that focus on ensuring the health and safety, supporting access to community participation, and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment.
What You'll Do:
Conduct assessments/evaluations of individuals to determine their level of receptive/expressive speech & language skills, swallowing skills, & social/pragmatic skills. Develop, modify & implement individual & group therapy/treatment programs to enhance individuals' communication and address swallowing deficiencies. Designs & delivers speech, language & dysphagia management services, which may include hearing screenings.
Designs & delivers in-service training to other staff on speech-language techniques/protocols. Composes/completes reports, lesson plans & other program related documents necessary to implement, modify & track progress of treatment/therapy programs.

Licensed as speech-language pathologist in state of Ohio per Section 4753.06 of revised code.
