ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work closely with Acute Care Managers on weekend operations and process improvement.
- Work closely with Central Intake Lead to ensure clear communication and collaboration across teams
- Orient new staff
- Manage staffing issues (call outs, early releases) and provide direct supervision and support
- Manage provider schedules and blocks in EPC in collaboration with CI Lead
- Manage patient issues and concerns
- Assist staff/providers as necessary – room patients, nurse visits etc.
- Serve as back up to CA Floats with buckets
- Communicate with Urgent Care as needed in terms of patient flow & nurse visits
- Collaborate with the CI Lead to trouble shoot facility & IT issues
- Provide back up support to the CI Lead as needed
- Perform Clinical Assistant duties in conjunction with Lead responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities for staff to engage in additional projects if the clinics are slow or have low patient volume and assigning tasks accordingly (i.e. exception reports, POD buckets, etc.)
- Participate in monthly Lead meetings to problem solve and improve workflows and processes related to weekend operations
- Other responsibilities as directed by coordinator or manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of accredited Associates Degree Medical Assistant program (RMA, CMA strongly desired) LPN or RN program (active unencumbered Maine license)
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent professional judgment, phone skills, and decision making ability
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, InterMed colleagues and vendors
- Ability to provide direction and constructive feedback to peers
- Proficiency with Windows based computer applications
- Flexibility and willingness to work as a team member
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills
