Behaviour & Resilience Mentors: The Role
As a Behaviour & Resilience Mentor, you’ll be directly impacting the lives of young people. Our mentors are responsible for developing and delivering a structured social and emotional resilience curriculum in group mentoring sessions for up to 15 pupils in KS2, KS3, and KS4 settings. They address issues hindering pupils' full potential, working in up to 5 schools weekly. Mentors collaborate with the Think for the Future team and schools to tailor programs for impactful results.
Main objectives and responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the Behaviour & Resilience Mentoring program in designated schools.
- Work with groups of pupils to reduce disengagement, build resilience, and improve behavior.
- Tailor mentoring sessions to pupils' needs.
- Utilize data systems to decrease negative behavior incidents.
- Manage relationships with schools.
- Collaborate with the mentor team to share best practices.
- Assess and develop skills with the Mentor Manager.

- Experience working with young people, especially challenging ones.
- Passion for working with youth.
- Ability to connect and relate to young individuals.
- Positive attitude, high energy, and resilience in challenging environments.
- Commitment to objectives and teamwork.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use clear, concise language and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel up to 60 minutes and access to transport.
