POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Summary: The Translife Care Specialist will provide support to the Gender Inclusive Program Manager who focuses services on gender non-conforming persons and/or to persons of transgender experience. This position ensures community members are connected to the services (whether internal or external to PIHC) they are interested in and could benefit from. Engage and retain a minimum of fifty medical and social service, may require use of personal vehicle for work related activities. Create and facilitate different training within the agency and community. Host resources fairs, create a written recruitment plan and recruit participants for different groups, create policies, guidelines and consent forms for said groups. Attend different events in absence of or with program manager. Work well with others and independently for success of program/client’s success. The primary job function of the Translife Care Specialist is to assist with the development, and/or implementation of HIV prevention and agency programming.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with providing planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that focus on the needs of gender non-conforming persons and/or persons of transgender.
- Assist with collaborating with local and national agencies to best serve the needs of the community. To include attending internal and external meetings as needed.
- Work closely with IT/Data team to obtain reports showing outcomes of interventions.
- Recruit participants for intervention.
- Research best practices in service provision for gender non-conforming and persons of transgender experience.
- Develop or adopt a gender non-conforming and persons of transgender experience cultural humility training and implement with PIHC staff or other entities as needed.
- Comply and update resource lists that are relevant to the needs of the gender non-conforming and persons of transgender experiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (public health, psychology, health education, or health care administration).
Experience:
- At least one year of experience in advocating for or providing HIV prevention services or related social services for gender non-conforming persons and/or persons of transgender experience.
- Experience working with individuals living with HIV preferred; but not required.
License/Licensure:
