Job Description
• Screening support to produce ADME in vitro data in support of driving discovery efforts within Pfizer WRD
• The position includes performing biological assays using automation technologies to generate ADME endpoint data
• Additionally, bioanalytical analysis of this data will be a key aspect of the role
• The position is in a highly matrixed group and teamwork is essential
• ADME Assays: Perform biological incubations with test compounds in plate formats with ADME-specific reagents and liquid handling equipment
• Takes raw analytical results and determines ADME endpoint data using IT systems
• Other Duties: Cell culturing, reagent bank support (inventory, and fulfilling orders), lab infrastructure maintenance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related disciplines; with ADME experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Experience with automated liquid handling systems a plus, but not required
• Experience in an industrial lab where data is produced on a recurring basis is a plus, but not required
• The person filling this position works in a laboratory that handles human and animal tissues along with Analytical chemistry equipment and infrastructure
• There may be exposure to chemicals, and biological hazardous materials
• Work will be conducted in both lab and office facilities
• Knowledge of biology, ability to utilize technologies including automation and liquid handling apparatus, familiarity with basic computer programs, teamwork and communication skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills, Ability to take direction, a self-starter and to learn quickly
