The Pediatric Pulmonary Division at Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking full-time MD/DO to join their well-established and nationally recognized team.
The Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division is a thriving group of eight physicians and five APPs that serve 2 children’s hospitals and 4 outpatient locations. Levine Children’s is home to Charlotte’s only accredited Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center and provides multidisciplinary care in the areas of Aerodigestive, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, MDA, Severe Asthma, Sickle Cell, Pulmonary Hypertension and Technology Dependence. Applicants should have an interest in the care of complex multidisciplinary patients with pulmonary conditions and demonstrate a commitment to medical education.
Education, Training, & Experience
- MD or DO
- BC/BE in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
- Proficiency in flexible bronchoscopy and interpretation of pulmonary function testing

At 236 beds, Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and the District of Columbia. It serves high patient acuity as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 150 pediatric subspecialists in more than 30 different pediatric specialties. LCH has repeatedly been ranked among the Best Children’s Hospitals in the nation by US News & World Report,most recently in 8 pediatric specialties for 2023-2024 including Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Neonatology, Urology, Nephrology, Cancer, and Orthopedics.
LCH hosts a well-regarded Pediatric Residency Program, serves as a teaching hospital for students at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and offers excellent support for clinical research and quality improvement.
In January 2023, Atrium Health broke ground on a second campus of the school of medicine – Wake Forest University School of Medicine Charlotte – to be constructed in the heart of a new, life-sciences research-driven innovation district, named “The Pearl”. The medical school will seat its first class in 2024.
