Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Observation Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an Observation RN, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, ensuring exceptional patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, following established nursing models and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in the event of unintended reactions.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and resolving them proactively.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring clear understanding.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience; acute care experience is strongly preferred, though LTAC experience will be considered.
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred; required within 6 months of hire.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
