We're thrilled to extend an invitation for a full-time Clinical Center Supervisor / BCBA to join our team at our Sunshine Center Outpatient Pediatric Clinic located in Edison, NJ. The Sunny Days Sunshine Center is a one-of-a-kind center designed to promote positive behavior, increase quality of life, and enable individuality; the Sunshine Center embraces each child’s individual needs. We are dedicated to children of all ages who are experiencing challenges with learning, social skills, sensory processing, speech/language difficulties and/or motor development.
As a full-time Clinical Center Supervisor / BCBA, you will provide Direct Service Staff employee oversight, observations, supervision of cases, and training pertaining to ABA at our Outpatient Pediatric Center located in Edison, to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. Qualified candidates must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst / BCBA with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a BCBA in a supervisory role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of employees/independent consultants providing clinical services in the center and in the home. Clinical staff will include OT, PT & SLP in addition to behavioral staff
- Plans/creates/conducts ongoing trainings and training materials for all practitioners providing autism services
- Conducting ABA initial evaluations and ongoing evaluations required in order to get authorization from insurance companies
- Assists with re-evaluation on children in order to maintain insurance authorization
- Assist with issues pertaining to insurance
- Assists with initial ABLLS-R/VB-MAPP assessment on children and then updates this assessment every 4-6 months
- Provide parent training
- Trains on how to design, create, change ABA program books
- Provides Autism 101 training for all new Autism therapists including BCBA’s
- Provide check-in for new therapists (through phone, email, or in person)
- Provide hands-on training to ABA therapists and BCBA’s to ensure compliance, consistency, growth opportunities
- Complete therapist best practice monitoring forms on both ABA therapists and BCBA’s
- Ensure that all of the centers are running consistently, our philosophy is being followed, and that all of the children are receiving the most quality autism services
- Point of contact for new incoming families interested in social skills
- Provide monthly webinar trainings on various topics pertaining to Autism and ABA
- Help oversee social skills classes and put together social skills classes
- Provide support to practitioners providing autism services to facilitate problem resolution, communication between team members and service provision.
- Provide monthly BCBA group supervision meeting
- Ensure compliance with BACB and insurance company regulations
- Sharing of information with family/staff/consultants on community resources.
- Travel may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned/required.
Experience/Qualifications/ Education:
BCBA
Maintains current licensure/certification as required by Professional licensing board.
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum.
Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience required.
Must be available to work non-traditional hours – some evenings and weekends will be required.
Skills:
Basic computer literacy of Word, Excel, Outlook, ACCESS
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to function independently
Ability to multitask
