Physician Assistant’s (PAs) perform exercise & tilt table testing, assist in electrophysiologic studies performed in the EP laboratory/OR, including insertion of temporary pacing catheters & intracardiac mapping, analysis of recordings made during electrophysiologic studies, orientation of the cardiology fellows to electrophysiologic studies, perform initial & follow-up history & physical exams on arrhythmia service outpatients & inpatients, perform bedside procedures related to arrhythmia evaluation (EKGs, carotid sinus massage). The PAs perform initial & follow-up evaluations of pacemaker & ICD patients & evaluate post operative wounds & also participate in the recruitment/care of patients in research protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Certified by the National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Physician Assistant license by New York State
- Ability to travel between campuses: Moses, Einstein and Hutch
