The Clinical Leader implements standards of nursing practice through clinical activities associated with supervision and development of staff. Acts as an expert role model in the performance of patient care. Furthermore, during this process, the Clinical Leader utilizes knowledge of growth and development over the adolescent through the adult life span and demonstrates skill in application of this knowledge to the nursing process. Works directly with patients and staff to refine nursing intervention techniques and clinical approaches. Initiates and coordinates the development, revisions, and implementation of standards. Participates in the formulation and completion of objectives related to service area. Participates in the development and implementation of the operational/capital budgets related to service area. Participates in the activities involved in assuring adequate staffing of the unit; interviewing prospective nursing staff and having input into various staffing issues. Responsible for orientation of unit personnel including coordination of preceptors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Baccalaureate degree or five years in related area required.
- Previous experience in a related area.
- Current New Hampshire RN license.
- Current BLS – Maintained on a biannual basis.
- Area of Interest: Nursing;
- Work Status: Monday – Friday with flexibility for weekends, evenings, nights as appropriate based on need.
