Job Description: Raritan Valley Community College is currently seeking a Counselor-Mental Health on a part-time basis for the Advising, Counseling & Transfer Department.
*This is a grant funded position*
The counselor will be the primary contact on campus for student mental health issues. The counselor will provide training to the campus community for recognizing and handling students in need of assistance; and provide emergency and short-term counseling to students.
Essential Duties:
- Provide individual short-term counseling to students.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for faculty and staff.
- Develop and implement mental health awareness programs.
- Collaborate with community resources for student referrals.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field required.
Experience in a college setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
