As the Assistant Director, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall operations of our daycare center and ensuring the highest quality of care for our children. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in overseeing the daily operations of the daycare center, including staff management, curriculum implementation, and facility maintenance.
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and training of qualified child care staff, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and center policies.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing parent communication and engagement, including addressing concerns, providing updates, and organizing parent-teacher conferences.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff members, providing feedback, coaching, and support as needed.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records, including attendance, enrollment, and staff.
Must have a passion for Early Childhood Education
Qualifications:
- Must meet requirements as stipulated by Georgia Bright from the Start licensing agency for an Assistant Director.
- Early Childhood Education degree is preferred.
- Ability to relate positively to young children is essential.
- Previous teaching and some administrative or business experience is desirable.
- Experience working with parents or demonstrates ability to relate to parents.
- Must continue to accumulate required hours of training as required by state licensing agency and/or Lillie’s Lil Lamb.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
