We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview: As a Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures. You will be responsible for operating specialized imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with various cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Operate fluoroscopy equipment to visualize and guide catheter placement within the heart and blood vessels.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist physicians during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Obtain and process angiographic images, ensuring optimal image quality for interpretation by cardiologists.
- Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and California Radiologic Technologist license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy equipment and image acquisition systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
