Somali Speaking Autism Day Treatment Supervisor/Licensed Mental Health Professional
Compensation (Pay/Benefits): Our employees are our most valuable asset; therefore, we offer competitive pay and benefits. The pay range for these positions starts at $73,999 - $89,418 a year for full time, depending on qualifications (i.e., licensure, board approved supervisor status, and experience). This salary reflects a 40-hour workweek, annualized. Any agreed-upon reduction in weekly hours will be reflected in salary commensurately. This position is benefits eligible, including health and dental insurance, health savings account with an employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, and retirement account with matching contribution. Program Summary:
This position is part of our East African Responsive program and offers the unique ability to serve diverse populations at our Minneapolis Harman Center location.
The East African Responsive Autism Day Treatment program at St. David's Center is for children ages 2-6 years, who have a medical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The program uses a mental health approach and leverages an interdisciplinary team of child therapists including licensed mental health professionals, mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, and speech-language therapists.
Position Overview:
The Program Supervisor will provide clinical & administrative supervision to Mental Health Professionals, Mental Health Practitioners, Paraprofessionals, and Interns under the supervision of the Program Director that results in excellent services, maintained or improved client outcomes, and achievement of targeted caseload enrollments. The Program Supervisor will provide clinical and case management oversight to ensure that clinical documentation is completed, and the program operates in compliance with governing statutes and contract requirements. The Program Supervisor will provide leadership and ongoing development of the Autism Day Treatment Program, including meeting client and family needs, evidence-based practice, and outcome tracking. Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Minimum of a master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family, or Social Work is required.
- LICSW, LMFT, LPCC or LP licensure through the State of Minnesota's licensing board governing their practice is required. Must be eligible for credentialing with insurance entities.
Experience:
- 2 years post-master's experience required, with supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Previous supervisory experience required.
- Understanding of mental health diagnoses with children and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) with expertise in the area of autism spectrum disorders; child development; understanding of family systems; understanding of needs of families with children with mental health needs; understanding of the impact of culture, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs, and economic status on a child, family, and perception of mental health issues.
