We are seeking a compassionate Small Animal Veterinarian, either full or part-time, to join our warm and welcoming, veterinarian-owned companion animal practice in the picturesque rural setting of southwestern Vermont, near the New York border. Our well-established practice, known for its high standard of care and focus on client education, has been a cornerstone of the community since 1986.
Nestled just a few hours from Boston and NYC, and within an hour of major ski areas and state parks, our location is ideal for those who appreciate the great outdoors. We take pride in offering high-quality, unhurried care to our patients, and we prioritize work-life balance to ensure that our team can fully enjoy both their professional and personal lives.
Our facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital radiology, in-house IDEXX machines, and ultrasound. We do not provide boarding, grooming, or doggy daycare services, allowing us to focus exclusively on medical care. Our practice is celebrated for its personalized approach, fostering strong, lasting relationships with our clients.
We operate Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM, with no scheduled sick visits on Saturdays. In addition to offering general medicine and surgery, we provide specialized services such as canine reproductive and behavioral care, as well as holistic treatments like acupuncture, chiropractic, and herbal medicine. We welcome candidates who wish to bring their own special interests to our practice.
The practice owner, with over 20 years of experience and a deep passion for mentoring, is eager to support the right candidate. You’ll also benefit from our experienced team, including a licensed technician specialist in emergency and critical care, who provides excellent support alongside our dedicated technicians.
We offer a competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes a 401K with a 3% match, health and liability insurance, paid time off, paid licensing, a generous continuing education allowance, and a pet care discount. Housing and relocation assistance are also negotiable.
If you’re looking to join a practice that values quality care, client education, and a balanced lifestyle, we’d love to hear from you.
