Responsibilities
Minor Procedures registered nurse is knowledgeable of each phase of the peri-operative process and performs safe patient care throughout the entire peri-op patient experience. This includes pre-op telephone screening, pre- and post-op care, conscious sedation, and circulating duties.
The Minor Procedures nurse will continue to monitor patients and attend to their needs. Will collaborate with other departments to offer a continuum of care. The nurse will engage in unit meetings, in-services, and performance improvement activities as needed.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
6. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
