Job Title: Nursing – Adjunct Faculty & Clinical Instructors

Summary Description: The Department of Nursing periodically has needs for additional adjunct faculty and clinical instructors. Time and site requirements vary based on current needs. Undergraduate clinical instructors supervise students in clinical sites within 1 hour of campus and may be asked to come to campus occasionally for labs and simulations. Graduate clinical instructors work with students and their preceptors remotely for most courses and report to the course lead faculty. Clinical Instructors working with graduate Advanced Health Assessment students are required to come to campus a few times per semester to evaluate students during their Health Assessment Residency. Adjunct faculty facilitate didactic courses via remote instruction. Essential Functions:

- Clinical Instructors – supervise clinical experiences, grade and provide feedback on clinical performance, communicate student progress with course lead faculty.
- Adjunct faculty – Ensure course content is up to date with current standards, develop appropriate assignments/assessments to document student attainment of course objectives, provide students with consistent and timely formative and summative feedback, and communicate with the appropriate Program Director and/or Assistant Chair to maintain specific course expectations across the curriculum.
Education: Minimum educational requirement dependent on course/role; Clinical Instructors – Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license for undergraduate courses and NP license/certification for graduate courses.
Experience: Dependent on Course/Role
Required Skills: Excellence in organization and communication; experience with Canvas LMS preferred.
