Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - IU Health Bloomington Hospital
Overview
Indiana University Health Southern Indiana Physicians is hiring! We are seeking a patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team at our Bloomington Hospital. We place an emphasis on excellence and compassion, collaborative work environment where growth and continued education is encouraged and fostered, and focus on quality of the individual as well as quality care provided. The ideal candidate will have experience that led to independent thinking and the ability to practice autonomously. Successful providers will take initiative, problem-solve and enjoy a working collaborative environment on a large team.
- Full-time | 3 - 12 hour shifts, rotating days and weekends
- 0.9 FTE
- No call
- Hospitalist team includes 35 physicians and 7 APPs
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians for discharge preparation
- Provide patient and family education
- Co-manage with multiple subspecialty services
Qualifications
- ACNP, FNP, or PA certifications required
- Must be board eligible or certified
- Must be licensed or license eligible in Indiana
- Preferred experience in ICU/PCU/Cardiac Care as bedside nurse prior to continued education

Facility Description
The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
