Position: Outpatient Lead Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities:
- Function as a resource to staff for day-to-day operational matters.
- Perform duties within the scope of responsibility of a phlebotomist.
- Act as a role model and mentor for department employees.
- Provide or assist in providing orientation and training within the department.
- Plan work schedules and make job assignments.
- Perform blood collection procedures on patients of all ages, including newborns and children.
- Conduct nursing home draws and home draws.
- Perform supply orders.
- Conduct regular site visits to off-site draw stations.
- Participate in a paid weekend on-call rotation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of hospital phlebotomy experience including registering patients.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computers.
- Reliable transportation.
Hours: 8a-4:30p rotating weekends and holidays. Flexibility to shift hours during the day shift when needs arise and to float to different off-site draw stations as needed; paid rotating on-call weekends to coincide with weekend work.
