We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our team at Fulton State Hospital in Fulton, Missouri. As a Psychologist, you will provide professional counseling and therapy services to individuals with various mental health conditions and developmental disabilities. Your expertise will contribute to the overall well-being and improvement of our patients' lives.
Duties:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual counseling and therapy sessions to address a range of mental health concerns, including chronic pain, behavioral health, autism, and PTSD care
- Conduct group therapy sessions to facilitate peer support and enhance social skills
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including data collection and progress notes
- Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field of psychology
- Provide guidance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal growth and independence
Experience:
- Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid state license to practice as a Psychologist
- Proven experience in providing counseling services for individuals with chronic pain, behavioral health issues, developmental disabilities, autism, and PTSD care
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and treatment planning
- Familiarity with medical record keeping and data collection procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
