We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapist to join our team in Somerset, NJ. The ideal candidate will improve our patients’ quality of life through accurate, timely, and effective diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal system disorders. The incoming Physical Therapist should possess strong leadership and communication skills and feel comfortable practicing in an interdisciplinary health care environment consisting of interventional pain management, physical therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture. The PT may potentially provide coverage at any of our 3 locations in Somerset County (Watchung, Somerset, and Branchburg).

Duties:
- Diagnose health problems through review of patient medical history and information provided during observational questions and examination.
- Engage patients’ commitment and participation in their treatment plan and return to musculoskeletal health.
- Test and measure patient’s strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and record data.
- Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Maintain complete records for each patient of each encounter.
- Manage each patient case in collaboration with provider colleagues.
- Administer and oversee manual exercises, massage, and traction to help relieve pain, increase the patient’s strength, and decrease or prevent deformity and crippling.
- Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides, assessing their competence, delegating specific tasks to them, and establishing channels of communication.
- Contribute essays and articles on topics relevant to physical therapy and nonsurgical orthopedic medicine.
- Reduce pain and restore healthy function within the scope and standard of physical therapy care.
- Fully engage patients in their recovery process.
- Seamlessly co-manage patient care with the provider team.
- Contribute to the collaborative care model with the provider team.
- Maintain state-of-the-art competence as a physical therapist.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current State of New Jersey Physical Therapy license.
Total Compensation:
$95K-$110K depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday - Friday (40 hrs per week)
