Regulatory Relations Internship
Summary of Responsibilities:
This position is for a 10-week Summer Internship. The Regulatory Relations Internship will support our State Regulatory Exams team within Santander Consumer. You will focus on learning how our organization executes state examinations.
This 2025 Summer Internship is for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.
This internship position is located in Dallas, TX.

Essential Functions:
- Assist the Regulatory Relations Manager in the execution of state examinations.
- Assist with state examinations in adherence to the SC State Regulatory Examinations Procedures within the established timelines.
- Work with the Business Control Office team and a variety of stakeholders throughout SC.
- Determine scope of state examinations with management.
- Review documentation, analyze methods and systems, and interview personnel to obtain information on actual practice.
- Stay abreast of state regulatory issues and developments, evaluate impact on applicable exam, collaborate with various stakeholders on implementation and risk mitigation efforts.
- Compare practice with regulatory and internal requirements to identify variances.
- Aid in dissemination of reports regarding state examination findings and recommendations.
- Stay current on state regulations impacting company business.
- Communicate findings/concerns, both verbally and in writing, to management.
- Complete one long-term project.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Currently a student enrolled in an undergraduate program.
- Expected graduation date between December 2025– May 2026.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced market environment.
- Solid professional and personal work ethic.
- Ability to work independently on special projects.
- Ability to work in an environment that supports employees from all backgrounds and fosters an environment of inclusion.
Working Conditions:
- Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
- May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
- Corporate / satellite office role.

Salary: $62,400-$62,400
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
