Overview
Coordinates and assists the provider and nursing to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. Provides and documents clinical care and maintenance of a safe and clean environment, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/APP or physician. While CNA I and CNA II can work under the license of a physician or APP, they must work a minimum of 8 hours every 24 months directly supervised by an RN employed at the clinic, per the North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements for licensure, or make arrangements for them to complete this supervision at a sister NHMG clinic location.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Experience:
- Two years of Acute experience for CNA 1, preferred.
- One year of CNA2 or EMT experience, preferred.
- One year of experience in healthcare setting or Physician Assistant or medical school student enrolled in an accredited program or gap year, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- NA I in good standing within the NA registry, required.
- OR NA II in good standing with NA II certification with required state, required.
- OR EMT current credential in appropriate state, required.
- OR one year clinical (medical) office experience, required.
- OR Physician Assistant or Medical School student enrolled in accredited program or in gap year, required.
- Additional Skills Required:
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Basic computer skills for documentation
