Job Summary:
Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, injury, and or other physical and mental impairments of HMH Primary Care patients. Provides medical orders for patients in need of diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatment. APRN ensures all appropriate medical services are provided including but not limited to, physical exams, assessments, treatment plan development, medication administration, maintaining appropriate documentation, performing clinical procedures, patient referrals as needed, and maintaining communication with all appropriate health care professionals during the care of patient. Collaborates with physician as needed to ensure quality patient care. In conjunction with other licensed practitioners, will assist with developing, executing, and reviewing HMH PC policies and services provided. APRN, in conjunction with the Medical Director participates in periodic review of patient health records.
Required Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Must have Masters of Nursing Degree in Psych-Mental Health
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse and as an APRN by the Kentucky Board of Nursing
- Certified by a national credentialing board
- Certification in BLS required, ACLS preferred
- APRN must be registered with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prescribe or administer controlled substances.
- Must complete continuing educational and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body.
- Demonstrates the ability to function in collaboration with other health care professionals
- Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and other staff.
- Experience with Word and Excel and the ability to create/analyze spreadsheets.
- This is based in Cynthiana, but could travel to Falmouth.
