Overview
The CT technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.
Qualifications
- Education: 2 Year / Associates Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
- Experience: One year of experience in CT, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- NH Medical Center - Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
- NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department - Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
- NH Medical Group Office - Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
- IV Credentialed, required.
- Applicable state license, required.
- Additional Skills Required: Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
