The role you’ll contribute:
Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. Follow standards of safe radiation practice. Demonstrate leadership abilities and act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, assuring current standards of practice for the unit.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Performs mammography examinations and meets quality standards set by Radiologists and ACR guidelines. Performs breast ultrasounds when required. Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
Assists in breast biopsies with physicians and handles appropriate paperwork and specimens.
Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
Prepares patients for exams and provides information and instruction to patients and/or family regarding the procedure while responding to their physical and emotional needs.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
High School Diploma or GED
Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT)
Mammography (ARRT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
Licensed Radiology Technologist in the state of employment if working in Kansas
