As a member of the management team in the Healthcare Center, the Nurse Manager contributes to the organization's mission by treating each patient, client, or customer with the highest level of respect and integrity. Using their high level of scientific knowledge, the Nurse Manager has the ability to analyze information collected pertaining to the patient and make decisions regarding condition updates, follow-through, or initiate discussions about tests, procedures, and outside referrals. By coordinating the timeliness of these services, the Nurse Manager can help ensure the patient is receiving the highest quality of care that enhances the reputation of the organization and encourages clients to continue to seek medical treatment from Healthcare Centers.
The Nurse Manager will assist in administering vaccines and first-aid services to the patients as well as documenting these in forms needed for various community social programs such as housing, pre-operative assessments, and pre-employment/school documents. They will also have the opportunity to educate patients and peers during community outreach programs and select patient workshops, further enhancing the patient’s interaction in their own care and wellness and solidifying their knowledge of disease states and prevention.
The Nurse Manager can enhance the experience of other members of the Healthcare Center staff by being an additional source of clinical knowledge in the HCC and providing the staff with answers to clinical questions that arise during phone calls and triage when needed. Their role is collaborative, rather than exclusive. In addition, providing feedback about how service could be improved will allow the team members to enhance their contribution. The Nurse Manager adds consistent value to the Healthcare Center Team by adapting to various situations with ease and being flexible.
