The Physician Recruiter, through direction from Talent Acquisition, will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and providing best in class service throughout the onboarding/hiring process.
Essential Functions:
- Creates and implements programs, plans, policies and procedures for physician recruitment, screening, selection, and placement of physicians. Advises Talent Acquisition, Executive Leadership, and Regional Operations on plans and best practices.
- Sources and screens qualified applicants; schedules and conducts interviews, checks background including licensure and professional references.
- Interfaces with Regional leadership and hospital CEO’s to determine physician staffing needs.
- Conducts onsite visits, when needed, to meet with existing provider staff and hospital administration to understand unique market/hospital challenges.
- Provide sophisticated reporting on search progress on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc cadences.
- Develops and manages on-campus and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs, conferences, residency partnerships, etc.
- Develops supporting marketing brochures, collateral materials, and sales tools; creates online recruiting strategies.
- Identifies and evaluates trends on physician recruitment, including location and economic conditions, competitor analysis, and innovative strategies for attraction and retention.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Educational / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or Psychology preferred.
- 5+ Years of physician recruitment experience; preferably with heavy psychiatrist search experience.
- Strong leadership background; ability to take ownership of a program/department.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Advanced recruitment skills; ability to direct-dial and influence prospective candidates.
- Advanced reporting skills with extreme attention to detail; ability to develop processes and procedures (in conjunction with Talent Acquisition) for candidate database.
- Excellent communication skills, can establish credibility, build consensus, and partner cross-functionally without direct authority.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, building relationships and fostering a positive work culture.
Work Environment:
Subject to many interruptions. Pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
