Peake Brook Veterinary Center is a noncorporate, veterinarian owned and operated, state of the art facility. Our 6500 square foot facility is located in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut, conveniently located approximately 1 hour from Boston, Hartford and Providence. The clinic is situated on 4 beautiful acres with expansive views of the country. Woodstock and the surrounding towns are very desirable places to live, family friendly and have very good school systems.
We are currently looking for additional veterinarians to join our team. Schedules are very flexible (full, part time and relief positions are available) and a schedule that meets your needs can be formulated to ensure your optimal work-life balance. You will be joining a team of 2 full time veterinarians and 1 part time veterinarian. New grads are encouraged to apply; mentorship available for the right candidate.
Our clinic has a large reception area with an amazing view. There are 7 exam rooms including dedicated cat rooms and a separate euthanasia/isolation suite with a private entrance/exit. All exam rooms are tastefully decorated and well-lit with large fold up exam tables.
The clinic has a dedicated surgery wing with a separate entrance. There are two spacious surgery suites with beautiful natural light, as well as dual headed LED exam lights. Oxygen and waste gas are hard plumbed to every room. Surgery tables are heated and have foot pedals for easy patient adjustment. Each room in surgery has large viewing windows. Surgery wing rooms are insulated with wool insulation for sound dampening. Cats and dogs have separate accommodations. Cats have Fear Free Certified Condos. There are large runs for recovery/housing of larger dogs, in addition to a variety of sizes of stainless steel kennels for small and medium sized dogs. There is a dedicated dental suite, complete with digital dental radiography.
The radiology suite is in close proximity to both operating rooms and produces excellent quality digital radiographs. The xray table adjusts 4-ways for easy patient adjustment. We also have ultrasound and endoscopy.
Our well-equipped lab includes hematology, urinalysis and Snap Pro analyzers.
There are dedicated veterinarian offices. We have a kitchen, full bath with shower and a large conference room.
