Just like everyone else, we are looking for an associate too. We keep growing so we need to keep adding doctors. Unlike everyone else, we do believe in work-life balance and we don’t just claim to practice good veterinary medicine; we actually do. Full-time doctors (there are four of us) and staff have a four day work week. We close at 5 pm every day except on Thursdays when we are open until 6:30 pm. Oh! And we're AAHA accredited and Cat Friendly Certified.
What We’re Looking For
Sugar River Animal Hospital is looking for an associate who is looking for a long term position and is willing to learn, share their knowledge and work in a team environment. We believe it is important for us to have consistency and stability within our work family since it helps us to run better as a team, and it helps provide consistency in the care that we provide to our clients and patients. The job hiring process is not fun for us and we want someone who wants to be part of our team and continue to help grow the practice. We have had over 20% growth every year since we opened in 2013. We don't anticipate our growth slowing down any time soon.
We are open to either full time or part time employment. We welcome new graduates and will provide mentorship. Our owner had poor mentorship at her first job and will make sure that doesn't happen to any new graduate that we hire. A new graduate doesn't have to know everything, but be willing to learn and be open to trying new things with support and guidance.
Job Requirements:
- Graduated or graduating from a DVM or equivalent program
- Able to obtain a NH veterinary license and DEA license
- Be able to support our mission of treating our clients and their pets like family.
- Excellent communication skills. It is vital that you can communicate with the staff as well as clients.
- Confidence in your abilities (Even if you're new to veterinary medicine. We learn things every day.)

- Must be a US citizen or be eligible to work in the US
