JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, including the largest family medicine residency in the nation. JPS educates in tandem with the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Texas Christian University Medical School.
The Department of Internal Medicine is currently seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Neurologist to join our team. The Department of Internal Medicine provides specialty services across the continuum of care at JPS. We currently have over 90 providers who work in a variety of different locations including the Main Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and our Community Medicine Clinics. Our specialties include Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Dermatology, and Rheumatology.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
• Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine
• Residency and/or Fellowship training within Neurology
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Neurology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility.
Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area.
Must have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills.
Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach.
Must be able to demonstrate patient-centered/patient-valued behavior.
