Betz Veterinary Services is a family-friendly practice located in beautiful Southeast, Coastal Georgia. Located within 30 minutes of Jacksonville and Amelia Island, Florida, you can experience the small-town life with quick accessibility to the hustle and bustle of the big city or the cool breeze of the Atlantic. We are a privately owned mixed animal practice offering full medical services, mobile clinic house-call availability, and integrated medicine. We offer these services in our comfortable, state-of-the-art 5000 sqft. hospital which includes a newly renovated surgical suite, an imaging suite, a client consult/"quiet room", separate dog and cat hospitalization wards, an isolation ward, as well as a comfortable lounge and employee bathroom with shower.
We are open Monday – Friday, 8:00a-5:00p and offer (limited) emergency services, as we are located within 20-45 minutes of multiple excellent Specialty/Emergency hospitals. If you are interested in extended hours and/or emergency services, the possibility and demand are there.
We offer comprehensive health care and prevention to our patients and work with our clients as a team to practice quality medicine. We offer surgical and dental services, in-house IDEXX Diagnostic Laboratory as well as access to IDEXX Reference Laboratory services, Zoetis Imagyst diagnostics, DR Radiology, DR Dental Radiology, Diagnostic Ultrasound, CT Imaging, Endoscopy, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Summus (K-Laser) Therapeutic Laser technology, Stem Cell Therapy, Tonopet and full Pharmacy services. In addition to traditional medicine, our practice owner, Dr. Christy Betz, offers TCVM (Chinese Herbals and Acupuncture) and VSMT (Veterinary "Chiropractic") services as well as Dietary and Whole Food Supplement consultations.
Veterinarian/Relief Veterinarian Position Available:
All experience levels will be considered; NEW GRADS are encouraged and welcomed to apply, and would be well-supported, with veterinarians who are happy to provide diverse mentorship. Part-time and/or Full-time positions available with flexible scheduling options. Ability to perform and assist in soft tissue surgery, dental procedures and patient appointments is a must. Ability to work with the public/client communication is required. Interest in and/or an open mind to areas including Equine medicine, exotics, and Alternative medicine is a plus! Interest in and/or advanced knowledge in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Ultrasound, etc. are a major plus! Strong interest in areas not mentioned are also welcomed.
