About the Unit
The ED Observation Unit is a 24-bed unit located down the hall from the main ED. This unit will be managed by emergency services and is protocol driven. Patients must meet specific criteria to be placed in the ED Obs Unit.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing unit to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. The Clinical Manager of the Nursing Department will have direct reporting responsibility to a designated Nursing Director.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
