About Us: Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida (JISF) is a physician-owned, private medical practice in Florida specializing in Orthopedics, Spine, and Pain Management.
JISF is seeking a Radiographer to join our dynamic team in our Cape Coral and Fort Myers offices. The ideal candidate has attention to detail and a passion for caring.
Job Summary:
- Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates x-ray equipment.
- Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures.
- Performs x-rays accurately and timely to keep clinics moving.
- Maintains and preps records, files, and/or reports pertinent to the department.
- Reviews charts and prepares them for the upcoming clinics.
- Retrieves x-rays for patients if they were done elsewhere.
- Provides copies of x-rays for patients when requested.
- Assists other department teammates as availability allows.
- Maintains a clean workspace.
- Assists Imaging Manager with administrative functions.
- Operates digital x-ray and/or C-arm for basic x-ray, injection, and procedures.
- Full-time and Part-time shifts available, no weekends or holidays!
- Shifts generally fall between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Holds an active Radiologic Technologist RT(R) license with ARRT or BMO license with the State of Florida.
- Holds an active X-Ray license in the state of Florida.
- Holds current BLS certification by the American Heart Association (or able to complete within 60 days of hire).
- Knowledge of anatomy.
- Ability to operate equipment effectively.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and other staff.
Education and Experience:
- One year experience, preferred.
- BMO license must have at least 1 year experience in orthopedics.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, reaching, and bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations.
