Job Summary
This Clinical Information Analyst, Associate position will collect, organize, analyze and report accurate clinical data, to federal agencies and organizations as well as Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy clinicians and staff, to support regulatory requirements and the clinical and research operations of the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program.
Responsibilities*
- Responsible for BMT and cellular therapy data management activities. Data collection and submission, utilizing the electronic medical record system (EMR) and relevant databases (Velos, RedCap, etc.) to complete data forms for federal agencies (DHHS, CIBMTR, NMDP, FACT).
- Submit accurate and timely data to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR).
- Communicate with CIBMTR and other data management staff members as needed to help solve data management issues and answer complex questions about data submission.
- Cooperatively work with data management team submitting data to CIBMTR and preparing for onsite CIBMTR and FACT audits.
- Assist with auditing forms completed by other data management staff to confirm accuracy of reporting.
- Train on forms revised by CIBMTR.
- Participate in a minimum of 1 hour continuing education related to data management annually (e.g., CIBMTR educational activities).
- Ability to organize, prioritize effectively and efficiently.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and data experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft software applications.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as prioritize and exercise good judgment.
Desired Qualifications*
- Blood/Marrow Transplant and/or immunotherapy clinical experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working with both pediatric and/or adult patient data in a medical setting.
- Experience with University of Michigan Health electronic medical record.
