The University Developmental Assessment Clinics (UDAC) in the Division of General Pediatrics at the University of Utah is looking for an outstanding Academic Pediatric (Medical) Psychologist. The Academic Pediatric Psychologist will conduct intakes and assessments through direct patient care to children referred to the UDAC. The UDAC evaluates children with developmental disabilities and developmental concerns. The Academic Pediatric Psychologist will work in all clinical programs in the UDAC, including the Child Development Clinic (CDP), Neonatal Follow-up Program (NFP), and the Heart Center Neurodevelopmental Program (HCNP). This position will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including Developmental Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Registered Nurses, and other Psychologists to provide assessments and diagnoses to children who have, or who are at high risk for, developmental problems. Clinics are held in Salt Lake City and virtually. This position will provide assessment services within an interdisciplinary outpatient setting for children referred for developmental evaluations. Other responsibilities will include the supervision of trainees and collaboration on research related to developmental disabilities and advocacy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral level degree in Clinical Psychology or School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Experience in the care of, assessment, and treatment of children and adolescents, preferably with developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
