Job Description:
Surgical Technology faculty are responsible for conducting assigned formal classroom teaching, consistent with curriculum design and content outcomes, to include didactic, laboratory, and clinic instruction. Collaboratively develop course outlines and clinical experiences to implement the curriculum design, as well as evaluating student performance in lecture, laboratory, and clinical courses. Academic advising of students, degree transcript tracking, tracking student progress, and retention of students. Review and analysis of program data and outcomes, student learning outcomes, and retention in accordance with the University's policies and procedures.
- 40% Didactic, laboratory and clinical Instruction
- 25% Evaluate student performance in lecture, laboratory, and clinical courses. Record evaluations using the University's learning management system (LMS) and Trajecsys.
- 10% Develop, implement, and conduct assessments on program and course student learning outcomes.
- 10% Develop course outlines, laboratory and clinical experience to implement the curriculum design and any tasks assigned by the Director of Surgical Technology.
- 10% Student academic advising, degree transcript tracking, tracking student progress, retention of students.
- 5% Participate in program, divisional, and University committees and meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates in Surgical Technology, must be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
Minimum of 2 years experience, either in the operating room first scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both within the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Salary: $45,000.00
