The Division of Pediatric Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for an Academic Pediatric Medical Psychologist. As part of an interdisciplinary medical psychiatry/psychology team, the Academic Pediatric Psychologist will provide consultation-liaison and clinical services to youth with chronic medical illness at Primary Children’s Hospital (PCH), specific pediatric subspecialty clinics, and at the Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinic. Responsibilities include assessments, brief interventions, outpatient treatments, and referrals. In addition to providing patient care and medical support for clinicians, the medical psychologist is also needed to help train and supervise pediatric trainees.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology from an accredited program; and must possess experience in the care of medically ill children and adolescents in individual, group, and family therapy clinical settings. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
