We're seeking a full-time, registered CT Technologist to perform high quality scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients!
- Location: Moorestown, NJ
- Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 - 4:30
- Tuesday, Thursday 10:30 - 7:00
- Plus once a month Saturday rotation
Qualifications:
- Current, valid New Jersey license is required
- Graduate of approved program for Radiological Technology
- ARRT and CT Registry required
- Current BLS/CPR training

Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient.
- Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients’ needs and questions.
- Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed.
- Verify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studies.
- Obtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administration.
- Perform venipuncture for administration of IV contrast.
- Prepare and administer contrast media according to established practices.
- Utilize scanner within manufacturer guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed.
- Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation.
- Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient.
- Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner.
- Follow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to ensure safe radiation practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of SJRA policies, procedures and protocols.
- Maintain emergency equipment and meds that may be needed in CT area.
- Initiate basic life support actions when necessary.
- Use infection control practices.
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- CT scanner operation and training.
- CT anatomy and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to perform venipunctures.
- Knowledge of operation system of CT scanner, RIS and PACS.
- Basic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS use.
- Organized, detail oriented, observant.
- Calm and effective communicator.
- Helpful, patient and sympathetic.
Physical Demands of the Position:
- Lifting, moving, positioning and assisting of patients on/off examination table.
- Walking 25% of shift, standing 50% of shift, sitting 25% of shift.
Working Conditions:
- Daily patient contact.
- Potential exposure to body fluid and/or blood.
- Radiation environment, exposure is negligible.
- Internal contact with coworkers, peers, subordinates, department heads, visitors, patients and their family members, faculty, physicians on a routine, daily basis.
- External contact with state/professional agencies and community physicians is possible.
