Description
MPF Federal is seeking an Animal Care Technician at our Cincinnati, OH location. This role is responsible for the daily care and well-being of animals, ensuring compliance with Animal Welfare guidelines. The technician will perform a variety of tasks related to sanitation, husbandry, and record-keeping while assisting the veterinary clinical staff and supporting the maintenance of rodent breeding programs.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain sanitation and husbandry programs for various animal species, housing systems, and equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Keep accurate records on daily log sheets and other required forms.
- Observe, record, and report on the health and behavior of animals.
- Assist veterinary clinical staff with animal care and procedures.
- Support the maintenance of rodent breeding programs.
- Perform additional duties as needed based on departmental requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in animal care or a similar field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Working a part-time schedule of 2-3 days per week.
- Must work onsite according to the schedule assigned by management.
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
