Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultations, and health education within the scope of expertise and agreed upon protocols.
- Refers to preceptor(s) if health status of patient is beyond their scope of practice.
- Maintains practice agreement with physician preceptors.
- Assists in providing PI reports for improving quality of patient care.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or the Medical Director.
Qualifications:
- License/Certification:
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing, and Board Certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner; or
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Medical Examiners and Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Two years of clinical Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience in Women's Health or Family Practice required.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Must be flexible as to the changing needs of the center.
- Must maintain prescriptive authority recognition.
- Must have the ability to work as a team player at all times.
- Current CPR certification required.
