Position: Nurse Practitioner (5 days/week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and administer IV infusions and injections for patients with chronic illnesses.
- Assist in the preparation of biologics.
- Educate patients about medication risks, side effects, and benefits.
- Coordinate care plans with ordering providers and our infusion center.
- Communicate with referring providers to ensure all criteria for medication are met and necessary documents are obtained.
- Verify medical records and diagnostic tests to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Review labs, reports, and previous medications.
- Keep the Medical Director & Nursing Director updated on clinical issues.
- Assist in managing registered nurses and other staff with any arising clinic issues.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or post-master level certificate in pediatrics.
- Current basic life support/AED & ACLS certification.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital, clinic, and/or ambulatory setting caring for children and adults.
- Comfortable in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Additional Skills:
- Proficient with EMR systems.
- Skilled in starting IVs and managing infusion reactions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $65-75, based on experience, expertise, and location.
