Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking a dynamic Clinical Supervisor to guide our Diagnostic Imaging team members in Woburn, Massachusetts!
About the Role:
The Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Supervisor will work with the management team to focus on high quality, comprehensive and effective medical services to ensure the optimal client and patient experience. They will oversee and manage the diagnostic imaging team as well as being a part of the hospital leadership team. Tasks for managing these teams include scheduling, training, and hiring. This role is 90% technical (being on the floor) and 10% administrative.
Compensation: $29-$37 per hour pending experience and skills assessment leveling
Anticipated Schedule: Full-time, 36-40 hours weekly (days), including up to 3 holidays
What You'll Do as Our Clinical Supervisor:
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration among team members.
- Coordinate staffing to meet client needs and budgetary goals.
- Streamline operations and enhance service delivery without compromising care or hospitality.
- Mentor and develop staff, ensuring they have the training and support they need to succeed.
- Serve as a central resource for all departments, offering guidance and support whenever needed.
- Maintain equipment and service needs to ensure optimal functionality.
What You’ll Do as a Diagnostic Imaging Technician:
- Participate with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments.
- Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient and procedural assessment.
- Provide support and training for fluoroscopy procedures.
- Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients, being a strong patient advocate during hospitalization.
- Maintain all equipment on a per-use basis ensuring the safety and best practice care for all patients, including PM schedules and service calls.
- Monitor badge testing monthly and notify individuals of out of range limits.
- Ensure appropriate par levels for all equipment in radiology modalities and spaces.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited AVMA program or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience in veterinary setting. Previous supervisory experience not required; mentorship will be provided.
- CVT, LVT, or VTS certification is always a plus!
- Must possess and demonstrate effective leadership qualities.
- Ability to promote effective communication amongst team members.
- Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions.
- Proven ability to lead by example.
