Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – CVICU (CTICU Tower 4)
Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36 hours per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- AZ license
- Must have Level 1 Trauma experience
- ICU experience
- BCLS
- ACLS
- CVICU preferred
- CCRN preferred
Candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting. 2 attempts.
All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED.

Ratios: 1:1-2. High number of 1:1.
Scrub Color: Navy
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac surgery recovery, Empallas, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, Ecmo, esophagectomy, lobectomy, pneumonectomy, TAVR.
Float to other ICUs and all Tele units. Patient ratio of 4:1 on tele. Travelers will float 1st before perm staff.

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovering from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs, and CABG. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and families regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital and must do so safely and compassionately.
