ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Submit regular patient care progress reports to attending physician and clinical staff.
- Consult & develop treatment plans based on physician's orders and initial patient assessment.
- Provide nursing care and written care plans.
- Participate in and monitor patient and family care compliance activities.
- Professionally manage and coordinate the plan of care.
- Complete clinical and medical documentation on all patients.
- Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
- Observe and interpret the patient’s symptoms and communicate them to the physicians.
- Should have experience with the following: IV experience, pediatrics/young adults, Trachs, G-Tubes, wound care, vent experience preferable, strong clinical experience.
- Must have critical thinking skills and a strong clinical background.
- Provide immediate medical care in emergencies.
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.).
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of Associate degree/diploma (or higher) in Nursing.
- Current and unrestricted Florida RN/LPN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year RN or LPN experience in an institutional setting (Acute Care/ Rehab / Hospital / Home Health / Hospice).
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Excellent working knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be dependable, reliable, responsible, patient, and compassionate.
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
