Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a dedicated Clinical Director of Recovery Services to oversee and enhance our comprehensive substance use programs.
About the role.
As the Clinical Director of Recovery Services at AMHR, you will lead a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care to clients in the midst of a mental health crisis. Your responsibilities will include overseeing our withdrawal management teams, spearheading the development of a new Withdrawal Management location in Adams County, and guiding our Reset: Recovery Services outpatient team across two locations. You will lead and develop Clinical Managers, champion strategic initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services throughout the division.

Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on first paycheck, 50% on paycheck following 6-month anniversary.
Schedule. Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 with some evening and weekend hours to interact with staff working 24/7 shifts. We have a hybrid work schedule where you can enjoy working remotely half-time and work in the office 2+ days per week!

Responsibilities:
- Senior Leadership Accountabilities: Lead a team of managers or individual contributors. Ensure that managers provide focus and direction to their respective teams. Foster development of leaders and create a culture of accountability. Develop goals, strategic plans, company policies, and make decisions on the direction of the organization. Mobilize and influence external stakeholders and outside resources. Effectively communicate sr. leadership decisions and organizational strategy and plans to managers. Also, share key external updates with team. Set performance indicators.
- Recruit, hire, train, support, inspire and develop leadership skills of Clinical Managers. Ensure clinical teams have the required clinical expertise in specific areas.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Clinical Managers on a regular and predictable basis and address positive recognition, promotion and/or disciplinary actions as needed. Ensure clinical managers provide clinical employees on their team with appropriate supervision and clinical oversight. Ensure appropriate training and continuing education for clinical employees relevant to the services provided.
- Oversee and monitor quality, compliance, productivity, and financial stability of assigned clinical area, and ensure alignment with the organization's strategy, vision, values, and expectations.
- Analyze data for the assigned clinical area and use it to communicate and make informed decisions and process improvements.
- Attend and contribute to leadership meetings and assist with accomplishing agency objectives and goals as set by the Board of Directors and Executive Team.
- Actively participate in shaping the culture and successful functioning of the organization.
- Ensure that assigned clinical area is working in concert with all other areas. Identify service needs and develop programs or services in collaboration with others.
- Connect with the community in meaningful ways that support the organization's overall goals and the development of services within the assigned clinical area.
- Connect the organization with community and State partners essential for the vitality of the agency and the assigned programs.
- To the extent needed, understand local and state politics and resources as they relate to the assigned clinical programs and the agency as a whole.
- Staff member will complete needed care coordination tasks for their assigned role.
Requirements:
- Required: Master's degree in a license eligible field. Preferred: Doctoral degree in a license eligible field.
- Five years' experience providing behavioral health services.
- Five years' supervisory/management experience in increasingly responsible capacity.
- Current Colorado Licensure in behavioral health field: Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LPC or LMFT; or Licensure in behavioral health field: Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LPC or LMFT from another state and in process of obtaining Colorado licensure and will have prior to six-month anniversary with Center.
- Additional certifications/license required: Certified Addiction Technician (CAT), Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). Preferred: LAC.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment; treatment philosophy consistent with organization's goals.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and respond to change.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of all facets of community mental health, managed care, and social services.
Required Vaccinations and TB Test.
AMHR has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, receive an annual influenza (flu) shot, and receive negative TB test results prior to their first day of hire. Proof of both vaccinations and negative TB test will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested for the COVID 19 vaccine, annual flu shot or TB test.
Salary for this role.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity.
- Licensed Psychologist: $116,001.60 - $138,309.60
- Licensed Therapist: $84,770.40 - $116,001.60
