Locum Tenens Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist Opportunity (ASAP - Ongoing)
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) physicians or Pediatric Hospitalists for an exciting locum tenens opportunity near Charles, MO. This position offers a flexible schedule, a rewarding patient care environment, and the chance to make a lasting impact on pediatric healthcare.
- Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only (No Call)
- Shift Schedule: 9-hour shifts, primarily evening/night shifts (4 p.m. - 1 a.m.)
- Monthly Coverage: 15 shifts per month
- Practice Setting: Outpatient and inpatient services with no inpatient rounding required
- Location: Near Charles, MO
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Manage 14-18 patients per shift in a fast-paced pediatric emergency department with 13 rooms and 3 hall beds.
- Emergency Procedures: Provide trauma care, procedural sedation, airway management, and other emergency procedures.
- Outpatient Focus: No inpatient rounding required; focus on pediatric emergency and hospitalist care.
- Collaborative Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care for children in a supportive environment.
Requirements:
- Board Certification:
- PEM fellowship-trained physicians preferred.
- Will consider board-certified pediatricians with ED experience (must have trauma, procedural sedation, airway management, and procedural experience).
- Certifications:
- PALS required for all providers.
- ATLS required unless PEM trained.
- Licensing: Active Missouri medical license required.
- EMR System: Experience with Epic is preferred.
- Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated at 60-90 days.
